The W&L Law Library Virginia Supreme Court Records Collection contains PDF scans of official documents filed with the Supreme Court of Virginia that present the facts and findings of the trial court prior to appeal. These records are generally in the form of appendices to appellate briefs that were filed with the Court.
Over 9,300 cases are represented, covering years 1923 to 2005. The records included in this collection were acquired by the W&L Law Library from members of the Virginia judiciary and from the Supreme Court. Although they are public records, most are not readily available through free or subscription resources elsewhere online.
