Because a final order issued by a Virginia circuit court in 2020 is final by application of Code § 63.2-1216, which states in pertinent part that “[a]fter the expiration of six months from the date of entry of any final order of adoption . . . , the validity thereof shall not be subject to attack in any proceedings, collateral or direct, for any reason,” the judgment of the Court of Appeals of Virginia is reversed and final judgment is entered dismissing the petition to vacate the 2020 final adoption order.
